Psychodynamic Counsellor

About Me

I am a BACP Registered Psychodynamic Counsellor with over ten years’ experience of working with clients. I have been in private practice in London for the past six years, providing both open-ended and time-limited psychodynamic counselling to adults.

I trained as a psychodynamic counsellor at Highgate Counselling Centre. Alongside my clinical practice, I am an Assistant Course Tutor at Highgate Counselling Centre, where I teach counselling theory and skills, facilitate Personal Development Groups and support the training of counsellors.

I have also worked as a volunteer with Maytree, a charity providing a non-medical, non-judgemental listening service for people experiencing suicidal thoughts and feelings.

I hold an MSc in Theoretical Psychoanalytic Studies from University College London (UCL), as well as a BSc (Hons) in Psychology. Before becoming a counsellor, I worked in financial services for over 15 years.

My clinical work includes both long-term and shorter-term counselling, and I have experience of working with a wide range of emotional and relational difficulties. My approach is psychodynamic, meaning that I am interested not only in the difficulties that bring someone to therapy, but also how those difficulties are informed by the patterns of feeling, thinking and relating which have developed throughout life.

I work from consulting rooms in London and also offer sessions online.
